The group's second album, "Terra 2001," was released on September 8, 1999. From it came another five singles: "Nagai Tameiki no Youni," "Aino Aino Hoshi," "CALL MY NAME (JAPANESE VERSION)," "BYE! MY BOY!" and "Sono Speed de." Following this release, the group went on a third tour, which lasted from November 19, 1999, to January 21, 2000. It was their most ambitious tour yet, as they played a total of 18 shows. Also, from this tour, a live video/DVD was released on April 1, 2000, titled "Super Terra 2000."

After somewhat disappointing sales of "CALL MY NAME" and "BYE! MY BOY!," the May 31, 2000 release of "Hello Another Way" brought back the spotlight. Following this was the equally successful "Angel Song -eve no kane-," which reached #3 on the Oricon charts. In addition, it was also the theme song for the Japanese drama "Manatsu no Merry Christmas," which began airing in October of 2000.

Following their two new successful singles, the band released their third album, "Los Angeles," on January 1, 2001. It was co-produced by the band itself, which is somewhat of a rarity in Japanese music. Also, a new video/DVD of clips was simultaneously released. It included music videos for "Angel Song -eve no kane-," "Hello Another Way," and a few songs from "Terra 2001."

The "Los Angeles" album was a bit of a change for the band. It featured more dark, raw sounds that were full of distortion and reverb. It was also their first album to be recorded in entirely Japanese. Although it reached #2 on the charts, it ultimately failed to sell as well as the group's first two albums.

After a small club tour following the album's release, the band disappeared for a while. During this time, however, Tomoko (Tommy) launched a solo project entitled "Tommy february6." Unlike BuriGuri's material, her solo project brought back the best of 80's pop, American cheerleaders and "Sweet Valley High." Although it was originally intended to be only a small project, it became much more popular than anyone expected; therefore, Tommy continued and released the singles "Kiss One More Time" and "Bloomin'!" Following these, she released her debut, self-titled album on February 6, 2002.

After a short span of time spent with Tommy as a voice Actress for the anime "Piroppo," The Brilliant Green came back with an acoustic concert show on Space Shower TV. They released "Forever to me" on April 24, followed by "Rainy days never stays" and "I'M SO SORRY BABY."
